Fellowship Sundays

All are welcome for Fellowship Sundays, a social gathering (with coffee and treats) after Mass the first Sunday of every month. Welcome new parishioners, make new friends, or catch up with those you haven’t seen for awhile.

Liturgy of the Word with Children

Liturgy of the Word for Children is offered during the 10 a.m. Mass at St. Richard. The pastor invites children to follow a prayer leader to their own prayer space during the Liturgy of the Word. This special time of prayer follows the same Liturgy of the Word format as the larger assembly, but in a way that children can more easily engage. Approved children’s versions of the readings for the day are used. The leader invites the children to share their reflections on the gospel. Children then come back to the general assembly for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

Prayer Chain

St. Peter’s offers a wonderful prayer ministry whereby parishioners may call the parish office (612-866-5089) to begin a prayer chain for themselves or a loved one. Full names and/or the nature of the condition need not be shared. Prayer coordinators call fellow parishioners to pray for the special intention. Those parishioners will call still more parishioners, and so on, until a large group is praying from home and at church for that special intention.

Everyday a Prayer

Parishioners are invited to choose a day to pray for all in our faith community who are preparing for or celebrating the sacraments. Sign-up takes place during November after all Masses, or call the parish office anytime to be placed on the list. Parishioners may sign up for as many days as desired. Names and dates are published in the bulletin on a weekly basis as a reminder.

Called by Name

Submit the names of fellow parishioners (ages 16 to 50, male or female) whom you think would make a good Sister, Priest, Deacon or Brother. Names may be submitted anytime by completing the ‘Called by Name’ card found in the vocations rack at the back of church. Either mail the card to Fr. Jerry or drop it in the collection basket in an envelope with his name marked “personal.” Be sure to continue to pray for vocations regularly and pray for all seminarians and novices in religious communities.
