Youth Faith Formation
St. Peter’s Faith Formation works to educate our whole community—adult, youth, child—so that learning and sharing of faith crosses generations and continues for a lifetime. To learn more about the faith formation opportunities available for youth in grades 6-12, please contact the parish office at 612-866-5089.
EDGE is a Catholic middle school ministry developed by Lifeteen. There are large and small group lessons and activities as students grow in their Catholic faith and their relationship with Christ. There are also various other events and activities offered throughout the year. All youth from the parish, those who attend public schools and those who attend parochial schools, are welcome and encouraged to participate.

Students are welcome to come 15-20 minutes early to just hang out. There is no cost or registration required.
LifeTeen is a Catholic Youth Ministry program developed to lead teens closer to Christ. High school students gather together at St. Peter’s 2-3 times monthly to grow in knowledge of their faith and to build on their relationship with Christ and His Church. This is paired with other social, faith and service events throughout the year. St. Peter’s LifeTeen program meets Wednesdays and is perfect for those teens who are already confirmed, so they can continue to foster their faith life. It’s also a great compliment to the Confirmation program and the 9th and 10th grade students who are enrolled in it. (See the Sacraments section for more information on our Confirmation program.) All youth of the parish, those who attend public schools and those who attend parochial schools, are welcomed and encouraged to participate.
St. Peter’s Confirmation preparation is a two year program typically begun in ninth grade. While it is suggested for ninth grade, tenth through twelfth graders are also welcome to begin the process if they have not yet started. Our program has a solid foundation in catechesis and youth ministry ordered to the preparation of Confirmation. Classes meet Sunday evenings. The sacrament is celebrated during the spring of the second year of preparation. Youth are expected to participate in a continuous faith formation program before, during and after Confirmation.
