Children & Family Faith Formation

St. Peter’s Faith Formation works to educate our whole community—adult, youth, child—so that learning and sharing of faith crosses generations and continues for a lifetime. To learn more about the faith formation opportunities available for families with young children, please contact the parish office at 866-5089.

Early Catholic Family Life (ECFL)

ECFL or Early Catholic Family Life emphasizes the importance of putting faith at the center of family. If you have children ages 5 and under please consider registering for our upcoming ECFL classes at St. Peter’s. Contact Joanne for more information.

Little Lambs (Note: this program is currently being combined with ECFL)

Little Lambs is for families with children ages two years to kindergarten (children who are younger or older, including infants, are welcome to join their family at these classes). Family Formation is appropriate for both public and parochial school families. Parents and children come together once a month to participate in a class together to learn about Jesus and our Faith. Families receive resources for learning at home, too. This is a great tool for parents to teachings the little ones about the Lord and our Faith.

Family Faith Formation

Family Formation is our religious education program for families with children in grades 1-5. Family Formation is appropriate for both public and parochial school families. By virtue of their marriage and by having had their children baptized, it is a parent’s responsibility to see that their child is brought up in the Catholic faith. It is the duty of the Church to assist parents in this high calling. Family Formation is a phenomenal tool that enables parents to carry out their vocation as parents. Parents and children come together to participate in class together as well as work together on “home lessons.” The home lessons are very user friendly and enable parents to teach the faith to their children without having to be an expert on the topics; many parents find that they learn a lot themselves when teaching the home lessons to their children.
